| 抄録 | Als ich bei demselben Immunserum unter Anwendung der Bankterienaufschwemmung verschiedener Konzentrationen auf Agglutination hin prufte, bemerkte ich, dass bei der Bindung zwischen Antigen und Antikorper eine fur die Bindung geeignetste Konzentration des Antigens, d. i. eine Bindungszone, vorhanden ist, gleich wie bei der Eiweissprazipitation, und aass diese Bindun,gszone jedem Serum eigentumlich ist. Wenn man Tiere mit passiver Inlmunisierting vorbehandelt, so bleiben die Verhaltnisse genau wie im Originalserum, denn die Bindungszone im Normalagglutinin steht ohne Ausnahme niedriger als die im lrnmunagglutinin Man kann aber nicht so grosse Unterschiede wie bei der Eiweissprazipitation nachweisen. Ich konnte diese Erscheinung auch bei Haupt- und Gruppenagglutination des Koli-und Typhusbazillus aufzeigen. Es muss sich wohl in allen anderen Agglutinationen ebenso verhalten. Zwar wurde die Agglutination von vielen Autoren studiert, aber betreffs der Menge des Antigens wurde keine genugende Ubereinstimmung erzielt. Jeder Autor gibt eine andere Menge des Antigens an, wie er sie auf Grund eigener Erfahrung bestimmte. Wie ich oben erwahnte, zeigt sich die von Prof. Ogata zum ersten Male angegebene Bindungszone in der Agglutination ebenso wie in der Prazipitation. Dle Tatsache, dass der Grad der Konzentration des Antigens einen Einfluss auf die Bindung zwischen Antigen und Antikorper austibt und dass die Reaktion bei einer gewissen Menge Antitgen arn starksten stattfindet, ist nicht rrur eine Erscheinung bei der Prazipitation, sondern muss auch auf die Agglutination Anwendung finden. Wenn man sich auf Grund genauerer Untersuchungen oder vergleichender Versuche mit der Agglutination beschaftigt, so muss man stets bei der Untersuchung die Bindungszone berticksichtigen, da man sonst keine richtigen Resultate wird erhalten konnen. Als iob dann die Bindungszone bei der Agglutination mit der bei der bakteriellen Prazipitation verglich, bemerkte ich, dass das Auf- und Absteigen der beiden miteinander einhergeht. Als ich aus dem Gebundenen, das durch die Bindung des Antigens mit dem Antikbrper entstand, das Agglutinin isolierte und nun bezuglich der Bindungszone prufte, konnte ich, wie bei der Isolierung des Bakterienprazipitins, nachweisen, dass die Bindungszone unverandert bleibt, oder etwas herabsinkt. Aus diesem Ergebnis mochte ich schliessen, dass die Bindungszone eines Agglutinins mit derjenigen eines bakteriellen Prazipitins in engeln Zusammenhange steht. Diese Tatsache scheint mir ein Beweis zu sein fur die Identitat beider Antikorper. |

| 抄録 | Ich untersuchte in diesem Kapitel die Spezifitat des Fibrirnogens mittels Komplementbindungsreaktion, wobei fur jedes Immunserum, wie bei Prazipitation, eine fur die Bindungszone geeignete Antigenmenge gebraucht wurde. Die Ergebnisse meiner obigen Versuche dtirften sich folgendermassen zusammenfassen lassen : Es lasst sich mit Sicherheit nachweisen, dass das mit dem Fibrinogen einer Tierart gewonnene Antiserum die Fahigkeit besitzt, Komplemente zu binden, wenn es nicht nur mit dem ihm entsprechenden Antigen, sondern auch mit dem Fibrinogen anderer Tierarten zusammengebracht wird. Wie zu erwarten, erweist sich jedoch das Immun-serum dem entsprechenden Fibrinogen gegenuber als viel starker wie gegenuber einem Fibrinogen anderer Tierarten. Der Titer nach der Konrplementbindungsmethode ist indes stets viel niedriger als der nach der Prazipitinrnethode. Wenn man aber die Titer der hoch immunisierten Antisera gegen Fibrinogen verschiedener Tierarten bei Komple-mentbindung miteinander verg]eicht, so bemerkt man, dass sie mit den Resultaten bei Prazipitation fast parallel gehen, d. h. das Fibrinogen weist auch mittels der Komplernentbindungsreaktion gleichzeitig beicle Spezifitaten, Art- und Organspezifitat, auf, z. Die Zuckerausscheidung im Harne des stauungsikterischen Kaninchens wird bei Zufuhr von Traubenzucker im allgemeinen unter Normal herabgesetzt, wahrend sie bei Zufuhr von Lavulose nicht nur nicht unter Normal herabgesetzt, sondern vielrnehr uber Normal vermehrt wird. Aus diesem Befunde geht hervor, dass die Lavulose bei Stauungsikterus keine Nierenschwelle besitzt. 2. Die Glykogenbildung der Leber aus Glukose wird bei experimentellem langdauerndem Stauungsikterus im allgemeinen unter Normal herabgesetzt. Der Glykogengehalt der Leber ist 4 Stunden nach der Zufuhr des Zuckers hoher als 3 Stunden nach ihr. Aus den Daten erhellt, dass die Glykoi genbildurlg bei langdauerndem Stauungsikterus uber den normalen Ztistand hinaus verlangsamt wird. 3. Die Glykogenbildung der Leber aus Glukose bei langodauerndem Stauungsikterus, die unter Normal abgeschwacht ist, wird durch die Zufuhr der Gallensaure wieder uber Normal gesteigert. Diese ubernormal gesteigerte Crlykogenbildung der Kaninchenleber mit langdauerndem Stauungsikterus tritt bei Zufuhr von Gallensaure 4 Stunden naeh der Zufuhr des Traubenzuckers starker auf als 3 Stunden nach ihr. 4. Die Glykogenbildung der Leber mit langdauerndem Stauungsikterus ist 3 Stunden nach der Zuckerzufuhr bei Lovulose hoher als bei Glukose, wahrend 4 Stunden nach der Zuckerzufuhr jene bei Lavulose geringer ist als bei Glukose. Diese Daten zeigen, dass Lavulose auch bei Stauungsikterus fur die Glykogenbildung der Leber viel schneller als Glukose verwertet wird. 5. Die Glykogenbildung der Leber mit langdauerndem Stauuntgsikterus aus Lavulose wird sowohl 3 als auch 4 Stunden nach der Zuckerzufuhr durch die Zufuhr der Gallensaure uber Normal gesteigert. Diese durch die Gallensaure bedingte gesteigerte Glykogenbildung tritt ,sowohl bei Zufuhr von Glukose als auch bei der von Lavulose auf. Auch bei Stauungsikterus wird Lavulose sowohl bei Zufuhr als auch ohne Zufuhr der Gallensaure viel schneller und 3 Stunden nach der Zuckerzufuhr besser, 4 Stunden nach ihr schlechter als Glukose fur die Glykogenbildung der Leber verwertet. Aus den oben erwahnten Daten scheint mir hervorzugehen, dass die bei langdauerndem Stauungsikterus unter Normal herabgesetzte Glykogenbildung aus Glukose und Lavulose auf der ungenilgenden Gallensaurebildung in der Leber beruht, obwohl die durch Ruckfluss der Galle verursachte gestorte Leberfunktion berucksichtigt werden muss. Vorliegende Daten gestatten wohl die Schlussfolgerung, dass die ubernormal gesteigerte Glykogenbildnng im Anfangsstadium des Stauungsikterus durch die uberschtissige Zufuhr der Gallensaure ins Blut bedingt ist. | 抄録 | In the present study, tryptamine produced a slow hyperpolarization in a few neurons other than a slow depolarization in myenteric neurons of the isolated guinea-pig ileum. Neither the adrenergic neuron blocker, guanethidine nor the 5-hydroxytryptamine uptake inhibitor, zimelidine, which can inhibit the release of 5-hydroxytryptamine from enteric neurites induced by tryptamine (M. Takaki et al. (1985) Neuroscience 16, 223-240), affected this slow hyperpolarization. Therefore, it was concluded that the slow hyperpolarization induced by tryptamine in myenteric neurons was not mediated via the release of 5-hydroxytryptamine or noradrenaline. It might be possible that the hyperpolarization was induced by a direct action of tryptamine on myenteric neurons per se. |

| 抄録 | Using the technique of somatic cell fusion, we produced monoclonal antibodies to collagenase-digested human glomerular basement membrane (GBM). Fourteen monoclonal antibodies which reacted with normal human kidney in indirect immunofluorescence (IIF) studies were produced. An analysis of the binding patterns indicated that the antigens recognized could be divided into six broad groups. Monoclonal antibody B3-H10 (Group 1) reacted with only GBM in a fine granular pattern. A5-B12 and B5-C2 (Group 2) reacted with GBM and peritubular capillary in a linear pattern. B2-A12 (Group 3) reacted with only epithelial cells. Al-C9 and A4-E2 (Group 4) showed a mesangial pattern in glomerulus and a lineal pattern in tubular basement membrane (TBM), Bowman's capsule and peritubular capillary. A1-E1, A1-E11, A2-E6, A3-B6, A4-F8 and B5-H2 (Group 5) recognized determinants common to GBM, TBM, Bowman's capsule and/or peritubular capillary. A3-F1 and B5-E10 (Group 6) reacted with TBM and Bowman's capsule. The staining pattern of B3-H10 (Group 1) was characteristic because it was not linear, but finely granular along the GBM. The staining pattern of B2-A12 (Group 3) was also characteristic because only epithelial cells were stained, and processes of epithelial cells were observed as fine fibrils. To the best of our knowledge, these two types of monoclonal antibodies have not been reported previously. |

| 抄録 | In dealing with the geochemistry of volcanic rocks, it appears imperative, first, to refine the procedure of rock analysis with respect to both major and minor components, and second, to improve present methods of interpreting analytical data on common rock suites such as basalts, andesites and dacites. In regard to the first problem, the rapid method of silicate analysis as described by Shapiro and Brannock (1956) and by Riley (1958) deserves special attention. With such a method it is possible to estimate the accuracy and precision of data with far greater ease than is possible with a classical one, yet without any loss of quality. For the determination of some components, however, it is felt that the procedures recommended previously lack precision and/or simplicity. In Part I of this paper, new methods are suggested for these components. The sum of Mg, Ca and Mn is titrated with EDTA in the presence of Al, Fe and other metals, using thymolphthalein complexone as indicator at pH 10-10.5. The sum of Al and Fe is determined by the back-titration of excess EDTA with the standard Cu solution. PAN is used as indicator at pH about 4, and tartrate is added as the masking agent of Ti. Na and K are determined by flame photometry using very dilute solutions (1-5ppm Na or K), without the separation of other metals and without the use of the internal standard. Sr is included in the scheme of analysis, and is determined by flame photometry according to the standard addition technique. These procedures are tested for their accuracy using the standard samples G-1 and W-1 (Tables 3, 5, 9, 12 and 15). Procedures for other components are also described in the text in full detail. The system of analytical procedures recommended is shown in Table 16. To investigate the problem of the interpretation of compositional variation, typical rocks from Asama volcano and the surrounding area were selected, namely, andesites and dacites of calc-alkaline type. Twenty-one samples, described in Tables 18 and 19, are analyzed according to the above procedures. Results are shown in Table 20. Variation diagrams are presented in Figs. 3 to 5. Since it may be questioned whether the "trend" seen in the diagrams implies a genetic relationship, a least squares approximation technique has been introduced in order to determine whether the composition of the main components of a rock (F) can be expressed by the linear combination of a selected set of compositions of a magma and the phenocrysts crystallized from it : F(o)=F(1)x(1)+F(2)x(2)+······+F(m)x(m) ······(1) where F(1), F(2), ... denote the compositions of a magma and minerals, and F(o) is the calculated composition of F. These calculations lead to the conclusion that there are at least two series of rocks in Asama (Tables 25 to 30 and Fig. 9), distinguished from each other mainly by their K(2)O content. Those rocks showing features of assimilation (Aramaki, 1963) all belong to the K(2)O-rich series. Contents of minor components such as TiO(2), MnO, P(2)O(5) and SrO are analyzed by the linear regression technique in two ways, for example : TiO(2)(o)=C(1)x(1)+C(2)x(2)+ ······(2) and TiO(2)(o)=aMgO+bFe(o) +cK(2)O ······(3) These methods are found useful in discriminating rocks of different ongm and in distinguishing the characteristic behavior of each component. Results of calculations (Tables 31 to 34) support the conclusion reached by calculations based on the contents of major components. |

| 抄録 | Coexisting interstitial phlogopites and pargasites in iron rich wehrlite from the northern Kanto mountains were studied. The textural relations between those interstitial hydrous minerals and major constituent minerals, such as olivines and clinopyroxenes suggest the crystallization of the former from the intergranular residual liquids. The modal amounts of phlogopites in wehrlite are less than 1%, and that of pargasites range from 2 to 5%. Microprobe analyses have been carried for those hydrous minerals and the major constituent minerals. namely, olivine, clinopyroxene and idiomorphic zoned chromite. Olivines in wehrlite from the northern Kanto mountains have rather iron-rich nature and range from Foso to Fo(80) and those coexisting with the hydrous minerals are Fo(82.5) in average. Clinopyroxenes from mica bearing wehrlite contain about 2.5% Al(2)O(3). 17% MgO and 5.5% FeO. Tentative cation per cent of Ca, Mg and Fe are calculated as Ca(42.6) Mg(48.1) Fe(9.3) in average. The present probe analyses show high magnesian nature of the interstitial phlogopites. In addition, these phlogopites are conspicuous by their high TiO(2) content ranging from 4.6 to 5.2%. Mg/Mg + Fe versus Ti relation plotted in Fig. 4 revealed that the present phlogopite are similar to that of the alkaline pyroxenite nodules from the Lashaine volcano, northern Tanzania. Pargasites in mica bearing wehrlite are also rich in TiO(2) (3.0~4.7%), whereas pargasitic common hornblende from hornblendite or gabbro are rather low in TiO(2) (0.9~1.7%). Mg/Mg+Fe+Mn versus Ti relations of amphiboles illustrate that Ti contents increase with decrease of Mg/Mg+Fe +Mn. Two different increasing trend for Ti conten t are also noticed. Idiomorphic chromites show distinct compositional variation from core to rim. Total FeO increases about 16% at rim, whereas TiO(2), Al(2)O(3) and MgO decrease at the rim. Possible crystallization scheme of those hydrous minersls is proposed in Fig. 10, where the maximum stability limits of phlogopite and hornblende are shown with the curve for begining of melting of basalt. Separation of liquid fraction from cumulate phase with a small trapped intergranular liquid might occur at point A. The liquid fraction then might move upward through the course II. In cumulate phase, intergranular liquid might crystallize pargasitic amphibole by the reaction with olivine and clinopyroxene through the course I in Fig. 10. Intergranular liquid might decrease with production of amphiboles and K(2)O might concentrate in residual liquid. At final stage of crystallization, residual liquid rich in K(2)O might crystallize as phlogopite by the reactions with olivine. Decrease of Ti02 content at the nm of idiomorphic chromite might be related to the formations of Ti-rich hydrous minerals. |

| 抄録 | 大山降下堆積物中の斜長石のギブサイト化過程を,偏光顕微鏡,X線,示差熱分析,走査型電顕,EPMAを用いて調べた. 斜長石は風化によって,カオリナイト,イライト,ハロイサイト,ギブサイト等を生成することが知られているが,今回,ギブサイト化した斜長石についてのみ検討をおこなった. EPMA分析によれば,一個の斜長石の表面に,Al, Si, Na, Caの多く存在する新鮮な斜長石の部分と,Na, Caをほとんど含まず,多量のAlと,ごく少量のSiを含んでいるギブサイトの部分とが分布し,その境界は, 明瞭であることがわかった(図版2).それぞれの部分の分析値は第1表のとおりである. 走査型電顕による斜長石の微細形態観察から,下記のことが明らかになった. ①新鮮な斜長石の表面は,平滑かまたは離溶ラメラがみとめられる(図版3-1). ②風化過程の初期に,水を合んだ非晶質の薄層が,斜長石の表層に生成する.この非晶質薄層の生成にさき立って,斜長石の表面の一部に, ロート状のくぼみが形成される場合がある(図版3-2,3). ③この非晶質薄層に亀裂が生じる(図版4).一方, ロート状のくぼみの上にも非晶質の薄層ができ,亀裂が生じる(図版8-1,2). ④さらに風化が進むと,ラメラ, 亀裂およびロート状のくぼみを部分的に残しながら,-・部には,ギブサイトの結晶が生成する(図版5). ⑤ギブサイトの結晶は,横1~3μm, 縦2~15μm, 厚さ0.5μm前後の平板状の形態,または,直径15-25μm,厚さ0.5~1μm の円盤上の形態をもつ(図版6). ⑥ギブサイトの結晶は,平板状のものが数段重なり,集合体をなす場合もあり(図版7-1),これは,ブラジルのミナス鉱山産のギブサイトの集合状態(図版7-2)とよく似ている. すなわち,斜長石の表面に,風化により,水を含んだ非晶質の薄層ができ,次に,その薄層に亀裂が生じ,イモゴライトの生成をともないながら,直接ギブサイトが結晶すると考えられる. 地名 Okachi 大河内 Hongu 本宮 Kurayoshi 倉吉 Daisen-Cho 大山町 Shuki 秋喜 Hiruzenbara 蒜山原 |

| 抄録 | Saline waters of thermal and mineral springs in Arima area, at Takarazuka, and in Ishibotoke area of Kawachinagano City indicate wide ranges of δD and δ(18)O values (Table 1). Excellent linearity exists between the δD and δ(18)O values (Fig. 1) and between the δ(18)O value and the chloride concentration (Fig. 2). These facts as well as the chemical evidence of the previous investigators strongly support the view that Arima springs are admixtures of a single deep brine and local ground water (TSURUMAKI, 1964). The deep brine may have the δ(18)O value of +8.0~+8.5‰, the δD value of -25~-30‰, and the chloride concentration of 1.20~1.25 eq/l, which were estimated from the water of the maximum salinity so far reported. Because the thermal and mineral springs in Arima area closely associate with the upper Cretaceous granitic rocks, and the estimated δ(18)O value of the deep brine is similar to a value of water in isotopic equilibrium with those granitic rocks at 500~600℃, the deep brine of Arima might have been the magmatic water of those granitic rocks. The mineral springs at Takarazuka and in Ishibotoke area also show the similar linearity among Cl(-), δ(18)O and δD to those in Arima area. Therefore it is assumed that the mineral springs at Takarazuka may be of the same origin as that in Arima area, and the mineral springs in Ishibotoke area might have been the fluid associated with Ryoke metamorphic rocks. Alternatively, the deep brine in Arima area may be isotopically and chemically similar to the saline formation waters in Illinois basin (GRAF et al., 1966). The high δD values and salinities of those formation waters were attributed to the isotopic and chemical fractionation during the passage of water through sediments. The deep brine in Arima area may be genetically similar to those saline formation waters. If such a saline water could have formed in Osaka basin, it is not surprising to find out the similar brines at Arima and Ishibotoke which are the northwestern and southeastern rims of the basin, respectively. At the present, it cannot be answered which of these two models is more probable. Further studies on other saline springs fluid inclusions of Cretaceous granitic rocks may be useful in order to solve this problem. |

| 抄録 | Since Copeman's report on patients with hearing impairment as "rheumatoid otoarthritis?" has introduced, there have been a few reports on hearing impairment in patients with rheumatoid arthritis such as Goodwill et al. and Djupesland et aI. in European countries. On the contrary in our country there is no reference in association with hearing impairment of rheumatoid arthritis in rheumatic or otological literatures. An audiometric survey was carried out in 76 patients admitted in the Misasa branch hospital of Okayama university school of medicine on the classical or definite rheumatoid arthritis. Patients were excluded from the series if they had scarred or perforated tympanic membrane and history of otorrhea. Thus 67 patients have come to study. As control group, 15 healthy persons in hearing for each ten years, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, and over 60 years, were selected and as a physiological hearing limit, rejection limit of hearingloss in dB. was made. Among 67 patients, 111 ears had hearingloss within the above mentioned rejection limit. In 23 ears, hearingloss in dB. were partial or as a whole out of the limit. They have all air-bone-conduction gap. After inflation of Eustachien tube, in most of them air conduction ability showed nearly the same level of bone conduction. In three cases even by inflation, airconduction level did not move. In one case the left side had effusion liquid and its RAreaction was positive. TwO of the former patients and the one whose effusion liquid had positive RA-test followed up for about 3 years. In the former two cases, hearing impairment got worse little by little and recovery by inflation was not seen. On both cases Gelle's test was positive. In the latter hearing impairment slowly got worse. This had lasted for about two months and had recoverd. In the se four cases heairng impairment was probably related to the rheumatoid arthritis and no other causes could be found. |

| 抄録 | Sinter deposit in a distributing pipe used for about fifteen years in Misasa radioactive hot springs was investigated. The results were as follows; 1. The metal elements in this deposit were quaIi. tatively analysed by spectraspan plasma emission spectrophotometry (SPES), by fluorescent X-ray spectrometry, and following elements were detected; B, Na, Mg, AI, K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Sr, Ba and Pb. 2. The metal elements in this deposit were quantatively analysed by SPES and atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and following elements were determined; Fe : 508.7, As: 26.40, Ca: 7.85, Mn : 2.00, Al : 1.80, Na: 1.60, Zn: 1.33, K: 0.80, Cu: 0.67, Sr: 0.47, Mg: 0.35, Ba: 0.33 and B : 0.30 mg per gram. The color of this deposit was red brown, and the main component was ferric oxide. 3. Radioactive elements in this deposit were detected by autoradiography and radioluxography. Among the radioactive elements, concentration of radium was 320.5×10(-12)g/g (313.0×10(-12)Ci/g). |

| 抄録 | Experimental procedures used in this study are the same as those developed by Sakai and Dickson (1978). 0.005 M Na(2)S(2)O(3) solutions were heated to 400℃ under 1000 bar water pressure in a gold bag of Dickson gold-bag equipment (Fig. 1). At an elevated temperature Na(2)S(2)O(3) quickly and completely decomposed into 1:1 mixture of SO(4)(2-) and H(2)S (eq. (1)) and subsequent isotope exchange (eq. (2)) was monitored by consecutively withdrawing aliquots of solution for chemical and isotopic analyses at desired time intervals. For the preparation of SO(2) for isotope analyses, 2 to 5 mg BaSO(4) was thoroughly mixed with silica glass powder of 10 times the BaSO(4) in weight and heated to 1400℃ or so in sealed, evacuated silica glass tubings (see Fig. 2 and equation (4)). The technique is a modification of Holt and Engelkemeir (1971). The (18)O/(16)O ratios of SO(2) thus formed stayed constant by exchange with silica glass powder (Fig. 3). Numerical data of the three runs performed in this study are summarized in Tables 1 to 3. In runs 2 and 3, a small aliquot of (34)S- enriched H(2)SO(4) was added into the starting solution and thus equilibrium was approached from above the quilibrium value (see Fig. 4). When isotope exchange occurs between two molecules, X and Y, the reaction rate, r, is related to the extent of exchange, F, at given time, t, by equation (17), where X and Y indicate concentrations of given species, α(e), α(o) and α denote the fractionation factor at equilibrium, at time t=0 and at an arbitrary time t, and F = (α - α(o))/(α(e) - α(0)) or the extent of isotope exchange. Assuming the exchange rate is of the first order with respect to both X and Y and to the β'th power of hydrogen ion activity, a(H)(+), eq. (17) reduces to eq. (19), where k(1) denotes the rate constant. If X, Y and pH of solution stayed constant during the run, the half-time, t(1/2), of the exchange reaction can be obtained graphically as shown in Fig. 5. The t(1/2) for runs 1, 2, and 3 are determined to be 5.8, 5.5 and 6.1 hrs, respectively. Introducing F=0.5 and t=t(1/2) into eq. (19), we obtain eq. (20) which is graphically shown in Fig. 6 using the data by the present work and those by Sakai and Dickson(1978). The numerical values of log k(1) + 0.16 may be obtained by extrapolating the lines to pH=0 and, from these values, the rate constant, k(1) , may be calculated for temperatures of 300° and 400℃. From these two values of k(1) and from the Arrhenius plot, the activation energy of the exchange reaction was calculated to be 22 kcal/mole, a much smaller value than 55 kcal/mole obtained by Igumnov (1977). The value of β is found to be 0.29 at 300℃ and 0.075 at 400℃, although the physico-chemical nature of β is not clear to the present authors. Using these values, eq. (24), where C is a constant, is derived which would enable us to calculate the t(1/2) of any system of known ΣS and pH. However, as we do not know yet how β varies with different systems, eq. (24) is applicable only to limited systems in which temperature, total sulfur contents and pH are similar to those of the present study. Fig. 7 illustrates how t(1/2) varies with pH and total sulfur content at 300° and 400℃ and predicts t(1/2) for some solutions obtainable by hydrothermal reactions of seawater with various igneous rocks. The average equilibrium fractionation factor at 400℃ obtained by this study is 1.0153, in good accord with 1.0151 given by Igumnov et al. (1977). Theoretical fractionation factors between SO(4)(2-) and H(2)S have been calculated by Sakai (1968) , who gives too high values compared to the experimental data obtained by this and other researchers (Fig. 9). In the present study, the reduced partition function ratio (R.P.F.R.) of SO(4)(2-) was recalculated using two sets of the vibrational frequencies of SO(4)(2-) (shown in Table 5) and the valence force fields of Heath and Linnett (1947), which reproduces the observed frequencies of SO(4)(2-) better than Urey-Bradley force field used by Sakai (1968). The results of new calculation are shown in Table 6. This table also includes the R.P.F.R. of H(2)S which was calculated by Thode et al. (1971). Using these new R.P.F.R. of SO(4)(2-) and H(2)S, the fractionation factors between SO(4)(2-) and H(2)S were calculated and are listed in the last column of Table 6 and plotted in Fig. 9. Fig. 9 indicates that the new calculation gives values more shifted from the experimental values than before. The major sulfate ions in our solution at 300° and 400℃ exist as NaSO(4)(-) (Sakai and Dickson, 1978; see also Table 4 of this paper) and, therefore, the measured fractionation factors are those between NaSO(4)(-) and H(2)S. The discrepancy between the theory and experiments may, at least, be partially explained by this fact, although other more important reasons, which are not known to us at the moment, may also exist. |

| 抄録 | Qualitative and quantitative analysis of sinter deposits in a distributing pipe used for seventeen years (Sample No.1) and adhere to bathtub wall for eleven years (Sample No.2 and Sample No.3) in Misasa radioactive hot springs were investigated. The results were as follows ; (1) The color of deposits of Sample No.1 and Sample No.2 was black and the color of deposits of Sample No.3 was white. The metal elements in these deposits were qualitative analysed by spectraspan plasma emission spectrophotometry (SPES) and by fluorescent X-ray spectrometry. Following elements were detected, in Sample No.1 : Na, Mg, Al, K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu, As, Sr, Ba, Mo, and Pb, in Sample No.2 : Na, Mg, Al, Si, K, Ca, Ti, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Sr, Ba, Pb and Cl and in Sample No.3 : Na, Mg, Al, Si, K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Rb, Sr, Mo, Ba, S, and Cl, (2) The metal elements in these deposits were quantitative analysed by SPES, atomic absorption spectrophotometry and emission spectrophometry. Following elements were determined, in Sample No.1 ; Mn : 411.6, Fe : 65.7, Ba : 20.0, Ca : 11.9, Na : 5.7, Cu : 4.5, K : 4.2, Sr : 2.9, Zn : 2.6, Mg : 1.4, in Sample No.2 ; Mn : 248.2, Fe : 28.5, Ba : 15.6, Ca : 25.0, Mg : 10.5, Na : 9.3, Cu : 5.4, K : 4.9, Sr: 7.4, Zn : 3.3, and in Sample No.3 ; Ca : 275.2, Sr : 32.4, Mg: 12.4, Na: 18.7, K: 5.0, Mn: 1.7 and Fe: 0.6mg per gram. The main components of these deposits were manganese compounds (Sample No.1 and Sample No.2) and calcium compounds (Sample No.3). Qualitative and quantitative analysis of barium in sinter deposits of Misasa spa was done by authers for the first time. (3) Radioactivity in these deposits were observed by autoradiography. Among the radioactive elements, concentration of radium were 3.41×10(-8) Ci/g (Sample No.1), 4.70×10(-9) Ci/g (Sample No.2) anp 2.36×10(-11) Ci/g (Sample No.3), respectively. |

| 抄録 | Analytical method for strontium isotope ratios and rubidium and strontium concentrations has been established using a full automatic thermal ionization mass spectrometer. The machine is a modified model "MAT 260" of Varian MAT LTD. Each of simultaneously loaded thirteen samples is successively analysed full automatically following to a specific controling program which has been selected as being most suitable for each sample. However, the most characteristic feature of this machine compared to other types is computer controled peak jumping and peak centering before measurment of the signal of each peak. By this the accuracy of isotopic measurement has been surprisingly improved. Analytical procedures are described in detail which include decomposition of samples, separation of Rb and Sr, loading samples on filament and mass spectrometry. Accuracy and reproducibility of isotope analyses are excellent : 43 separate analyses of standard sample NBS 987 over one year gave a mean (87)Sr/(86)Sr ratio of 0.710238 (normalized to the (88)Sr/(86)Sr ratio of 8.375209) with a value of 20δ of 0.000008. The ratio obtained is slightly higher than the value of 0.71014 given by NBS, but it is almost identical to the mean of recently reported twenty analyses. Our determinations for Rb and Sr concentrations of standard samples are as follows : JG-1, Rb 184.4 ppm, Sr 185.5 ppm; JB-l, Rb 41.5Ppm, Sr 448.4 ppm , each of which is near the mean of reported values for corresponding element of the sample (ANDO et al., 1974). Concentrations of Rb and Sr in pure water and regents used in chemical treatement of samples were also measured; a possible error due to the contamination is negligible for most geochemical samples. |
