| Abstract | This rough map shows the layout of Yoshida Castle (now in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture) along with its castle town. On the verso side of the rightmost end of the paper it is written: “Map of Sanshu Yoshida Castle.” Supposedly, this drawing was produced as one of a series of maps of Japan’s castles, produced as a military science study material. On the margin it is written: “The 18th year of the Tensho era (1590), 150,000 koku, Ikeda Sanzaemon Terumasa.” Ikeda Terumasa resided at Yoshida Castle from 1590 to 1600.
