| Description4 |
The mountains are depicted as viewed from the sea (north), and the characters are written in roughly the same direction. The residences of the lords are specified as Hamada and Tsuwano castles. Slips of paper attached there respectively read: “50,000 koku for Matsudaira Suo-no-kami” and “43,400 koku for Kamei Noto-no-kami.” District borders are drawn with their names inscribed. In addition, the map shows names of places related to Iwami silver mine, including Kuki, Obayashi, Donomaru, and Ogingura. In the bottom center in the margin are given the number of districts and the total yield of rice for the province. |
