抄録 | The purpose of this paper is to examine, using quarterly financial data, how the market reaction to earnings announcements in each market segment (prime market segment, standard market segment, and growth market segment) has changed after the revision of market segmentation at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. For the research design, the abnormal volume and residual returns for the 12 quarters around April 1, 2022, when the market segmentation was changed, were calculated using the analysis method of Beaver et al. [2020]. The results of the analysis suggest that volume is significantly affected by changes in market segmentation. In addition, for the group of stocks in the growth market, there appears to have been some change in the trend of stock price fluctuations after the market segmentation revision. |

抄録 | The purpose of this paper is to clarify the role and position of Poland in the European production network, where the automobile industry is undergoing spatial expansion and upgrading. In the analysis of the automobile industry, Central and Eastern Europe is positioned as a periphery of Western Europe, and has many common factors in terms of growth after the transition to a market economy system. On the other hand, there are signifi cant differences in the growth process of the automobile industry in the four Central European countries. In the case of Poland, the continuation of the production system under the socialism economic system, the transformation of the fi nished vehicle production situation due to the change in the relationship with FIAT, and the acquisition of a role as a production base for engines and components in the European region can be seen. In terms of the production network, Poland has been integrated into a wider network in Europe and connected to a multilayered supply-chain as multinational automakers have changed their strategies in Central and Eastern Europe. Poland has also been producing EVs and other next-generation automotive products and receiving investment in them in recent years, which has led to the entry of new companies, signifi cant changes in production networks, and new developments such as state-owned companies leading domestic EV projects. Trade has also been expanding in line with the expansion of production, indicating an export-oriented industrial structure. There has also been a deepening of supply relationships within Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in the area of parts, and it has become clear that there has been a remarkable expansion of exports of fi nished vehicles and parts to Central European countries. |

抄録 | 本研究は、大学卒業後、入社3年目までの若手社員を対象に質問紙調紙を用いてweb調査を実施し、労働価値観が職務満足に及ぼす要因を分析した。顧客満足度調査などで用いられるCS分析を活用した。満足度が高い重点維持項目は、タスクの完結性、達成感(仕事)、社会貢献となり、改善度が高い重点改善項目は、捧げる(組織)、尽くす(組織)、組織貢献となった。今後、若手社員の職務満足を高めていくには、仕事本来の面白さを感じる5つの職務特性要因を仕事に取り入れていく必要がある。また、内発的モチベーションの度合を図るMPS(Motivating Potential Score)を高めていく、職務設計が重要になってくる。経営者や人事担当者は、若手社員の労働価値観を理解して改善していくことが、若手社員の職務満足につながり、離職率の低下となっていく。コロナ禍で労働価値観が変化するなか、若手社員が求める働く魅力づくりをしていくには、インターナル・マーケティングの視点が求められる。 |

抄録 | Once a fi rm is vertically integrated, it is well-known that such a firm has an incentive to delegate quantity decision to its downstream affiliate to increase its total profits by manipulating its input price. This kind of analysis has been analytically done but this note applies Ikema's diagrammatic demonstration to the model with a vertically integrated fi rm to show how to derive the market equilibrium in "quantity-price" plane diagrammatically. First, we derive the locus that firms' optimal supplies at any price level, which is called "Cournot-Ikema curve" and derive the equilibrium point which is identifi ed with the intersection of a demand curve and the Cournot-Ikema curve. This paper fi nds that strategic delegation rotates the curve clockwise with a fixed point at a price level equal to marginal cost. Finally, our model is extended to the case that a multinational enterprise manipulates transfer price, and shows that such a tax motivated transfer price further rotates the curve. |

For that purpose, I focus on quantitative investment strategies, capital market research in accounting, accounting anomalies, mispricing, and research paths. Fundamental analysis is one of the important directions in empirical accounting research that has been studied since Ball and Brown( 1968). Fundamental analysis influences neighboring research areas, and thus it should not be ignored or downplayed in accounting research because of the dissemination of quantitative investment strategies. |

抄録 | Although quality choice of profit-maximizing oligopolistic firms has been widely analyzed, it is rare to find such an analysis of labor-managed oligopolistic firms. This paper considers the relationship between vertical product differentiation and labor-managed firms in either partial or full market coverage by using a two-stage game model. At the second stage they are involved in either Bertrand or Cournot competition. Then some results, which are different from those derived from the conventional firms, are obtained. For example, 1) when labor-managed firms are involved in price competition in an output market, there exists an interior solution only in an extremely limited case; 2) fixed costs affect not only price and output levels but also the level of quality under both price and quantity competition; and 3) it is impossible to analyze under full market coverage, irrespective of whether labor-managed firms are involved in price or quantity competition in an output market. |

抄録 | 本稿では,金融資産管理シミュレーション・ゲームを実施して得たデータを基に,家計の選択するポートフォリオの効率性について検証を行う。資産選択の効率性を論じる指標として,平均分散アプローチによって導出した効率的フロンティアからの距離を用いる。Probit分析から得られた結果と,Panel Probit 分析から得られた結果は概ね整合的である。Panel Probit 分析の結果から示唆されることは,ゲーム参加者のうち,新たに習得した知識をより理解している者,過去の投資資産数の多い者,今後,株式市場が好転すると予測している者のポートフォリオの効率性は上昇し,資産選択の直前の株価の上昇は,ポートフォリオの効率性を低下させることである。また,ゲーム参加者の過去のポートフォリオの運用成績は,ポートフォリオの効率性に影響を与えない。 |

抄録 | The purpose of this paper is to examine one of the functions which entrepreneurs may play in the course of industrial development through a case study of Japan’s RPG development race. As Japan’s toy manufacturers often said, their market was characteristic of its small size and considerable demand volatility in comparison to other consumer products. Entrepreneurs must have seen any commitment to a cutting edge product, video games, as only a gamble and therefore behaved in a trial−and−error way. Furthermore, judging from the fact that no one could imagine the video game would come to turn over ¥1500 billion in 20 years, the firm level trial−and−errors and their subsequent variety of strategies on the industry level must have been the key to understand the unexpected market growth and technical evolution. However, recent management thoughts told us that the strategic variety in an industry could be possibly indulged by various pressures towards homogeneity. Such counter powers are referred to as organizational isomorphism, strategic bandwagon effects and so on. To examine those pressures which drive entrepreneurs back and forth towards strategic variety, this paper looks at the structural characteristics which underlie the way entrepreneurs see things in an uncertain environment. The case analysis takes the view that the video game industry was so uncertain that nothing could affect so deterministically entrepreneurs’ behaviours other than their perceptions. As a conclusion here, this paper points out some tradeoffs underlying the two different strategies which the twin peaks of Japanese RPG producers, Square and Enix, employed to meet with the uncertainty of the infant RPG market. It also argues that these tradeoffs based on two different perceptions might have kept their startups from the isomorphic indulgence. As a more prospective argument, questioned is the quality of strategic variety which is often deemed as an unquestionable remedy to industrial stagnation. |

抄録 | The aim of this paper is to analyze the financial management of the cooperative silk−reeling filatures in Shimoina County, Nagano Prefecture between W. W. I and W. W. II. The earlier researches elucidate that the cooperative silk−reeling filatures in the Ina area produced comparatively high grade thread, but those researches have not focused on their managements including the financial conditions. This paper conducts a comparative research on the financial management of five cooperative silk−reeling filatures in the county. Through this research, the following facts are cleared up. First, during the 1920s the sources of capital changed. Local banks had previously supplied capitals for the cooperatives, but during the 1920s the investments in the cooperatives of their members increased and local credit cooperatives, which were their affiliates, injected capital into them. As a result their equity capital was reinforced. Along with the previous loans from local banks, Sangyõ kumiai chuõkinko (the central bank for cooperatives) financed them as a national agricultural policy. During the 1930s, when the Great Depression occurred, their high equity ratios were maintained. Although the investments of their members and the local credit cooperatives declined and the national loans of Sangyõ kumiai chuõkinko started to compose the main portion of their budgets. Second, during that time the spending policy of their budgets was converted. In the early 1920s, when the cooperatives were established, the price of silk cocoons was kept higher than the market price of them to maintain the cocoon supply from the cooperative members. In the late 1920s, when the cooperative achieved high management performance, they started to invest their profits in their production facilities. The cooperatives continued to apply that strategy to a countermeasure against the Great Depression. One of the remarkable examples is Taishõkan filature of Yamabuki Cooperative Association, which introduced multi−ends reeling machines under the economic hardship of the Great Depression. Finally, those cooperatives took various measures to ensure high−quality cocoons for high grade thread. For instances, they standardized the sort of silkworm eggs which they recommended, sent technical supervisors to their members’ houses, and provided extra incentives for cocoons of fine quality. |
