| 抄録 | Liquid laboratory waste containing osmic acid and cacodylic acid was mixed with potter's clay or hydraulic cement. The clay-waste product was kneaded into blocks and baked in a klin (1,200-1,400 degrees C). The cement-waste product was allowed to harden into concrete blocks. Some of the baked clay blocks and concrete blocks were ground, and immersed in 1 N NaOH or 10% HCI solutions for 3-6 months. X-ray microanalysis of the dried samples of these solutions showed that no leakage of osmium and arsenic occurred in the baked clay embedding, and that some leakage of these agents occurred in the concrete embedding. The present study indicates that the baked clay embedding method is useful for safe storage of dangerous laboratory wastes. Additional experiments suggested that glass embedding is also useful for safe storage of laboratory wastes or harmful metals. |

| 抄録 | The applicability and accuracy of isotachophoresis in measuring the concentrations of some of the intermediates of red cell metabolism during blood bank storage in acid-citrate-dextrose preservative was assessed. Preparative treatment consisted of washing with isotonic sucrose solution and centrifugation to remove serum, but white cells and platelets were not separated out from red blood cells. The results for 2,3-diphosphoglycerate, ATP, inorganic phosphate and lactate were also confirmed enzymatically. The technique had good reproducibility (variation less than 3%) and was extremely convenient compared to traditional enzyme assays of the same components. It enabled simultaneous measurement of components with concentrations greater than 1 mumole/red blood cell. |

| 抄録 | A persistent problem in orthotopic liver transplantation is primary nonfunction (PNF) of the hepatic allograft. In an attempt to reduce the incidence of graft failure, the feasibility of pretransplant assessment of graft viability was investigated by 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The level of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) was measured as an indicator of liver function by 31P NMR spectroscopy after a 30 min normothermic reperfusion following cold-storage in University of Wisconsin (UW) solution. The mean +/- SD beta-ATP/Pi ratio after preservation for 0, 12, 24 or 48 h was 1.40 +/- 0.34, 0.85 +/- 0.27, 0.64 +/- 0.14 and 0.38 +/- 0.09, respectively. Significance was observed between 12h and 24h and between 12h and 48h of preservation. These results correlated well with the morphological changes in endothelial cells and sinusoidal lining cells examined by transmission electron microscopy. It is suggested strongly that microcirculatory disturbances due to endothelial cell injury impairs the recovery of ATP levels after reperfusion, and that ATP determination by 31P NMR spectroscopy, as a non-invasive modality, may help in the prediction of PNF after liver transplantation. |

| 抄録 | It is difficult to determine the coefficients of groundwater flow from the data which were obtained from the drawdown test in a multiaquifer system. In this paper, new methods of analyzing drawdown-tests are developed and illustrated with the example to determine aquifer coefficients. In a double-layered aquifer, the analytical solution of drawdown test, in which water is discharged from both layers, is derived. And also the theoretical solution to determine the coefficient of storage by using an index of elasticity of a confined aquifer is derived. From these solutions, methods of determining the coefficient of transmissibility in a double-layered aquifer and the coefficinent of storage in a confined aquifer are got. The example analysis to determine aquifer coefficients is shown. As a result, the characteristics which were obtained by these methods are verified by the real drawdown test data. |

| 抄録 | In order to apply the numerical method to practical groundwater flow problem in the field, the hydraulic properties must be estimated. In this paper, new methods of analyzing drawdown tests were developed and illustrated with some examples to determine hydraulic properties of aquifer. Drawdown tests sometimes have to be performed near the boundary of the aquifer or in the much groundwater supplied aquifer. In such instances, the assumption that the aquifer is of infinite areal extent is no longer valid. Therefore the analytical solutions of unsteady flow due to drawdown test are derived in the conception of "Island Model" that the shape of groundwater level is fixed by the circular water supply which is equilibrium with the pumping rate. By using these solutions, new methods of analyzing drawdown tests which are performed in a confined aquifer and an unconfined aquifer were given respectively and the effect of influence region was evaluated. The example analysis to determine permeability and storage coefficient were shown. As the results,the propriety of the solutions is verified comparing the analytical results with the drawdown test data taken from a real aquifer project. |

| 抄録 | The solutions of unsteady phreatic flow toward a partially penetrating well in an aquifer of finite thickness are described. Firstly the solution for a confined aquifer is shown. In this case,three methods of analyzing field data with partially penetrating well are given, that is, "Log-Log Method, Log-Log Distance Drawdown Method and Jacob's Method Ajusted for Partial Penetration". By using these methods the hydraulic conductivities and the specific storage of the aquifer may be determined. Secondly the solution for an,unconfined aquifer is shown. In this case, also two methods of analyzing field data with partially penetrating well are given. By using these methods, the anisotropic permeability and the storage coefficient (effective porosity) of the aquifer may be determined. Moreover in each case, the effects of partial penetration are discussed and the limits of adapting the Theis' and Jacob's methods are setted. From these analytic results, some cosiderations are added to determine the anisotropy of permeability and to evaluate the storage coefficient. |
