抄録	This paper surveys the recent trends in currency investment. In particular, this paper focuses upon strategies　which employ cross-sectional information across countries. First, I introduce a carry trade that is the most popular investment strategy. Next, I explain developments of momentum and value strategies. Then, the other strategies are classifi ed into two groups. The former group exploits macroeconomic information such external debts and output growth. The latter group employs information in fi nancial markets such as term spreads and cross-sectional spot exchange rate return correlations. Finally, I describe two future research directions.

抄録	Once a fi rm is vertically integrated, it is well-known that such a firm has an incentive to delegate quantity decision to its downstream affiliate to increase its total profits by manipulating its input price. This kind of analysis has been analytically done but this note applies Ikema's diagrammatic demonstration to the model with a vertically integrated fi rm to show how to derive the market equilibrium in "quantity-price" plane diagrammatically. First, we derive the locus that firms' optimal supplies at any price level, which is called "Cournot-Ikema curve" and derive the equilibrium point which is identifi ed with the intersection of a demand curve and the Cournot-Ikema curve. This paper fi nds that strategic delegation rotates the curve clockwise with a fixed point at a price level equal to marginal cost. Finally, our model is extended to the case that a multinational enterprise manipulates transfer price, and shows that such a tax motivated transfer price further rotates the curve.

抄録	This paper proposes a new approach to construct IO Table called“ Reduced Form Approach.” There are a survey method and a non-survey method for constructing the regional input-output table. This paper proposes a hybrid approach that combines a survey method in terms of utilizing individual information and a survey method in the sense of conducting a questionnaire survey of business establishments. 　The most difficult part of constructing a regional input-output table is estimating the value of exports and imports. Furthermore, in an open regional economy, exports and imports have a large weight. In many of the conventional methods, the import/export rate was taken from the input-output table of the prefecture, and the import/export value was extracted as the residual of the expenditure balance. In this paper, we propose a “Reduced Form Approach” that reproduces the input-output table from the production induced value. This not only overcomes the difficulty of balance adjustment, but also realizes the visibility of simulation analysis using an input-output table.

抄録	The purpose of this paper is to examine fundamental analysis from an accounting perspective and clarify its value and significance. For that purpose, I focus on quantitative investment strategies, capital market research in accounting, accounting anomalies, mispricing, and research paths. Fundamental analysis is one of the important directions in empirical accounting research that has been studied since Ball and Brown（ 1968）. Fundamental analysis influences neighboring research areas, and thus it should not be ignored or downplayed in accounting research because of the dissemination of quantitative investment strategies.

抄録	Porter（ 1990） proposes the concept of“ cluster”. The purpose of this paper is to examine how clusters are positioned between the market and the hierarchies, as Porter（ 1998） presents the challenge. At the same time, there are intermediate organizations such as a series between the market and the hierarchy, so we will also discuss them. As for the hierarchical organization, we conducted a case study of Yokoyama Seimou, and examined its characteristics. The significance of this paper is the following two points.（ 1）Hierarchical organization, competition by visible hands, division of process in Ota Ward, and cluster can simultaneously achieve productivity and innovation. （2） Regarding Yokoyama Seimou’s case study, the company is located in an area that can hardly be called a cluster and is a hierarchical organization that vertically integrates processes, the company has succeeded in meaningful joint development with other companies. As an implication for the region, it is also important to view the whole of Japan as a network, regardless of the cluster. 　The structure of this paper will be discussed in the order of Porter’s theory of clusters, existing research on intermediate organizations, Yokoyama’s case study, discussion, and conclusion.
