中学校英語教育における基本的指導事項の検討(1) 依頼機能を持つWill you～？

In this paper an attempt is made to investigate the way the linguistic form 'Will you- ?' is introduced as a request form in junior high school English textbooks and to point out some problems involved. This investigation then suggests that the forms 'Would you～ ?' or 'Could you～ ?' instead of 'Will you～ ?' should be introduced as a request form at the junior high school level.
