多文化共生を視点とした外国にルーツをもつ子どもへの支援の試み ―言葉と文化の学習を中心とした取り組みを事例として―

　本稿では，多文化共生社会の構築を目指して，筆者（謝）が取り組んでいる外国にルーツを持つ子どもに対する多文化交流活動の実践を検討し，その意義を解明しようとするものである。具体的には，筆者（謝）が岡山県内で主催している地域教育支援活動団体「週末エウレカ」の実践の取り組みを取り上げ検討する。本実践は，日本語の学習だけではなく，様々な国の文化を学ぶことによって，多文化共生社会の一員としての資質を育成しようとする点に特質がある。活動の中では，日本で学ぶ外国人留学生によって，外国にルーツを持つ子どもに対する教育活動が行われた。本研究では，そのような支援の特徴と課題を明らかにしたい。そして，今後，このような外国人留学生による活動支援団体を，地域においてコミュニティの協力のもとで運営するための示唆を得たい。

This paper examines the author's (XIE) multicultural exchange activities for children with foreign roots with the aim of building a multicultural society, and attempts to elucidate the significance of these activities. Specifically, the author's (XIE) efforts in the practice of "Weekend Eureka," a local educational support activity group organized in Okayama Prefecture, will be discussed. This practice is unique in that it aims to cultivate the qualities of a member of a multicultural society through learning not only Japanese language but also the cultures of various countries. In the activities, educational activities for children with foreign roots were conducted by foreign students studying in Japan. In this study, we would like to clarify the characteristics and issues of such support. We would also like to obtain suggestions on how to operate such support groups for activities by international students in the future with the cooperation of t he community.
