| Title Alternative | Steroid Metabolism in Walker Carcinoma Bearing Rat Part Ⅱ. On Steroid Metabolism In Vitro

| Abstract | The studies were performed on 3H-cholesterol metabolism in vitro with rat adrenal glands from normal, bearing Walker carcinoma and treated with ACTH. The amount of 3H-cholesterol metabolites containing pregnenolone, progesterone, 11-deoxycorticosterone and corticosterone were determined and compared among these rat adrenals. The cholesterol metabolism in tumor bearing rat adrenal was similar to that of treated with ACTH. These facts suggested that tumor bearing rat adrenals were simulated with ACTH-like substance.
