Abstract Topographical data of Kojima Lake have been updated by applying data obtained after dredging. Together with tide level of Kojima Bay and water levels of Kurashiki River and Sasagase river, the information was incorporated in computational analysis of unsteady flows generated in the lake when the water was discharged from Kojima Lake to Kojima, Bay. A finite element method was applied to equations governing unsteady flows, and the transition of discharge was obtained.

Abstract The one-way hash function plays an important role in digital signatures and message authentication from the viewpoint of security. No effective attacking method has been discovered to the algorithm of hash function standard. In this study, we tried to attack SHA-256 in encryption mode using linear and differential cryptanalysis to solve a private key. We deduced that an estimate of the private key would require huge known and chosen plaintexts in both linear and differential cryptanalysis, and that it would be difficult to decipher SHA-256 in view of the required computation.

Title Alternative Measurement of thermal conductivity in soils and application of de Vries model

Abstract Thermal conductivity of soil samples were measured using a twin transient-state cylindrical-probe method. The system of measurement consists of DC power supply, data logger, personal computer, 100cc soil sample, reference material sample, and two heat probes. The typical results were as follows: (1) Thermal conductivity of soils increased according to an increase of soil water content. (2) The thermal conductivity of Toyoura sand was larger than one of Kuroboku soil. (3) The thermal conductivity estimated by de Vries model had good agreement with the measured value.

Abstract We study a wind-generated current in Kojima Lake. We introduce an experimantal result which was obtained using a float equipped with a GPS unit. We also present a result of numerical study in which a result from finite element analysis of flow is applied to the momentum equation of the float to simulate its motion.

Abstract Small Area Estimation (SAE) is the process of using statistical models to link survey outcome variables to a set of predictor variables known for small domains, in order to predict domain-level estimates. The need for detailed statistics on small area is constantly increasing. Small area estimation is becoming important in survey sampling due to a growing demand for reliable small area statistics from both public and private sectors. Bayesian hierarchical models provide a convenient framework for disease mapping and geographical correlation studies. Computation may be carried out using the freely-available WinBUGS software. Two approaches prediction to estimate total patient in small area i will be presented. For the purpose of this paper, the small area estimation in this context use data of Indnesia's population based on the 2000 census for the population of Jakarta and data of patient diarrhea from District Health Service of Jakarta. We interest to predict total patient of diarrhea as variable of interest and data population as auxiliary data from unsample for each small area.

Title Alternative Variable selection besed on global score estimation and its numerical investigation

Abstract A variable selection method using global score estimation is proposed, which is applicable as a selection criterion in any multivariate method without external variables such as principal component analysis. This method selects a reasonable subset of variables so that the global scores, e.g. principal component scores, which are computed based on the selected variables, approximate the original global scores as well as possible in the context of the least squares. Three computational steps are proposed to estimate the scores according to how to satisfy the restriction that the estimated global scores are mutually uncorrelated. Three different examples are analyzed to demonstrate the performance and usefulness of the proposed method numerically, in which three steps are evaluated and the results obtained using four cost-saving selection procedures are compared.

Abstract 近年、初等中等教育や高等教育における協調学習の重要性がますます指摘されるようになっている。また、学校へのインターネット接続が急速に進み、CSCL(Computer Supported Collaborative Learning)に関する研究が多く行われ、実践でも掲示板等を使ったWeb上での協調学習が多く見られる。しかし、授業実践者が学習者の学習過程を分析する際、対話の履歴が保存されることは大きな利点となるが、学習者の知識構造が変化する過程といった質的な分析は授業実践者が対話の内容を一つ一つチェックして行うしかなく、この困難さが掲示板によるCSCL実践のネックの一つであると言える。そこで本研究では、授業実践者が蓄積された対話のデータをいくつかの観点からカテゴライズすることによって、協調学習を量的・質的に分析するのを支援するシステムの開発を行う。

Abstract 本研究は、高等学校に新たに平成15年度から必履修教科として設置される普通教科「情報」の指導において重要な意味を持つ情報倫理教育のあり方を探る基礎的な研究として、第1報、第2報で論じた中学生・高校生・大学生への情報倫理意識の実態調査と教育の実態の比較を行うため、現在発行されている全ての「情報」教科書の教育内容の比較を通して、学習者の意識と教科書における情報教育内容の特質を吟味しその内容特性について考察した。全ての教科書の記述内容の質的分析結果を横断的に比較整理し、その記述内容の特徴を論考した。そして高校生への調査との比較において教科書の実態分析をふまえた高等学校の普通教科「情報」における情報倫理教育の方向性について提言した。

Title Alternative A Study of Humen Computing in Solving Process of Graphical Problems in Exercises by Frequency Analysis of Brain Wave

Abstract 本研究は、CAIの基礎的研究として、立体空間を構成する幾何学的な課題学習における能動的学習行動の生体反応を調べた。基礎的な幾何学的学習課題を、問題提示方法の違い(文、図示)と紙面上とVDT(Visual Display Terminals)の学習メディア提示形態の違いと「書く」、「折る」の表現の違いを基準に8つの学習方法にわけ被験者に学習させて、脳波の周波数分析を用いて、学習者の学習心理にどの様な影響を及ぼすかを脳波性状から比較した。アーチファクトの混入による実験の信頼性低下という課題を残すものの、開眼安静時と学習時のαブロッキングを基準とした脳波の周波数解析から、学習課題解決時の学習者の心的状態を考察した結果、図提示より文読解での学習の方が一般的に精神負担が大きく、静止画より動画像の方が学習での脳波成分の精神負荷の影響が大きい等の知見を得た。

Title Alternative A Study of Human Computing on Solving Process of Basic Problems in Exercises for learning by Brain Wave

Abstract 本研究は、基礎的な学習課題(計算、幾何証明、漢字の書き取り、ワープロ入力作業、マウスによる描画作業)を紙上、VDT(Visual Display Terminals)の学習メディア提示形態で被験者に行わせ、脳波の周波数分析を用いて、人間の学習認知状態における心理負荷量を教材認識、教授メディアの質の違いから比較分析した。被験者を用い、αブロッキングを基準とした脳波の周波数解析実験を行った。その結果、開眼安静時を基準として各学習時の学習課題解決における学習者の心理負荷量を考察したところ、各学習作業においてα波出現量比はワープロ入力、漢字練習、計算問題、マウスによる描画問題、幾何の順に低くなる、また学習の過程で脳波性状が大きく変化する、学習での脳波成分の個人差が大きい、等の知見を得た。

Title Alternative Field Tests of Measuring System of Vegetation Response to Environmennt in a Barley Field

Abstract A system designed to measure the vegetation response to environment was constructed on the basis of the eddy correlation method.It consisted of two sets of a small rapid response sensors; three dimensional sonic anemometer thermometers and infrared CO2-humidity fluctuation meters,and a personal computer for data acquisition. Field tests of the system were made over a barley field in April and May,1990.The turbulent fluxes obtained by two sets of flux measuring system mounted at the same height were in fair agreement. The turbulent fluxes(momentum,sensible heat,latent heat and carbon dioxide) measured at two height wihtin and above plant cannopies and their differences showed realistic diurnal variations.The direction and magnitude of each flux varied depending on the srength or distribution of source and sink within plant canopies. These findings confirmed that this measureing system is promising for quantitative estimate of vegetation response such as transpiration, photosynthesis and respiration in certain canopy layers to environmental variations.

Title Alternative A Study on Playing and Learning of Young Children

Abstract The base of Menshenbildung is cultivated in infancy, and infant education is a firm basis of the education in subsequent years. We can not discuss the education without considering the importance of the infant education. In this paper, we reconsider playing and learning of the infant, taking up the infant education and its adjacent domains. First, we consider the necessity to make playing a kind of learning and suggest concrete measures. Secondly, referring computer games and traditional playing, we examine playground equipments which will activate infants' play. Thirdly, we point out that there is still an insuperable barrier between primany education and infant education. We also verify that the creative education stands on the edge of crisis, relating the current of an exaggerated importance on intellectual training. And finally, we discuss some problems concerning the child-raising support.

Abstract Recently, the factory automation controlled by computer has greater impact on manufacturing development. The factory model pursuing both efficiency and flexibility of manufacturing is proposed in this paper. Automated Guided Vehicle has an important role for technological improvement of factory model. It can transport many parts to each station consisting of NC machines. In order to learn the operating management of the proposed factory automation, a new teaching material is needed for school education. Consequently, a prototype of factory model with AGV routing layout is constructed in this paper. In this model, AGV controlled by some sensors is assembled with LEGO Mindstorms. Finally, an example is given to show the practical use of the proposed factory model for the manufacturing education.
