Histolgical changes in rabbits with acute and chronic parathion intoxication have been examined, and the results are as follows: 1) In the rabbit with chronic parathion poisoning induced by repeated parathion injections, histological changes were the most remarkable in the central nervous system, and in lethal cases were of circulatory disturbances such edema, hyperemia and bleeding. 2) On the contrary, in the moderate cases with acute poisonig, the changes were not so remarkable, and a month later almost no change was observed. 3) Such changes above menthioned might be caused by circulatory disturbances due to the anticholinergic action of parathion, and again the direct action of parathion for such changes should perhaps not be neglected.
