Abstract
The reason why blood coagulativity in hepatic vein and portal system is higher than that in other parts was studied. The results were as follows: 1) Blood coagulating time is shorter in the order of V. mesenterica iuferior, V. mesenterica superior, V. coronaria ventriculi, V. lienalis, V. gastroepiploica, portal system and V. hepatica. 2) In parts where blood coagulates more rapidly, such as in hepatic vein or portal system, fibrinogen is found more and thrombin and blood platelet tend to increase. 3) Prothrombin time and calcium quantity are not directly influenced by coagulating time. 4) The difference of blood coagulating time in every part of hepatic vein and portal system are considered to be influenced by fibrinogen thrombin quantity and blood platelets. Thinking that the former two have a close connection with reticuloendothelial function, shortening of blood coagulation in hepatic vein and portal system is considered to have its source in reticuloendothelial system.
