脳の窒素代謝について 第1篇 精神病者髄液アンモニアN量について

1) 各種精神病者髄液について, Unit法を用い, Conwayの所謂α-アンモニアを測定した. 2) 分裂病者は,それ以外の疾患に比して,髄液アンモニアN量が多量であつた. 分裂病者においては発病以来,日の浅いものは,陳旧例に比して値が高く,興奮例では更に高い. 病機が旧くなれば,アンモニアNは減少し,この場合は興奮が加わつても新鮮例程高い値を示さない. 3)躁うつ病では,うつ状態の方が躁状態よりも高いアンモニアN量を示した. 4) 進行麻痺では,抑うつ型及び幼若型は,殆んど分裂病にひつてきする程高いアンモニアN量を示した.遅鈍型之に次ぎ,誇大型は,低い値を示した. 5) 神経症及び,その他では特記すべきことはなかつた.

In order to trace the cerebral nitrogen metabolism and to find some clue to the physiopathology of the mentally ill, the author measured the ammonia N contents in the cerebrospinal fluid of 65 patients afflicted with various mental diseases by using Conway's microdiffusion analysis and obtained the following results: 1. The ammonia N contents in the spinal fluid of schizophrenics is greater than that in the patients of other categories. 2. In the case of schizophrenics, the ones with shorter history of illness give a value greater than those with longer history, while the excitatory cases a still great value. 3. The longer is the duration of illness, the lesser is the ammonia N contents; and even with advent of excitation, the ones with longer history will not show such a high value as those with short history. 4. In the manic-depressive cases, the depressive show a greater contents of ammonia N than the manics. 5. In the case of progressive paralysis, the melancholy and the juvenile type exhibit almost as high ammonia N contents as that of schizophrenics; and the imbecile type follows this; while on the other hand, the expansive type yields rather low value. 6. In neurotics as well as in others, nothing especially worthy of mentioning can be found.
