| Abstract | A convenient system for the assay of the cell growth inhibitor was established, and the inhibitory effect of rat liver sap cornin (RLSC) was examined by this system. 1. In this new stand culture method, normal cell growth is obtained in low cell population and the assay system is useful to examine inhibitor activity in the case of small amount of test materials. 2. The inhibitory effect of RLSC is dependent on cell density. 3. There is no difference in the inhibitory effect of RLSC on the cell growth between lag phase and early log phase.
