放線菌の代謝および微生物による効力測定に関する研究

The　microorganisms belonging to actinomycetes been important as the antibiotic producers and my major job has been a screening for useful new antibiotics produced by a actinomycete almost in my reseach.My collaborators and I found nineteen new antibiotics between 1956 and 1980 and thereafter three antibiotics particululy (Enramycin-feed additive,Validamycin-agriculture use,effective against the seach blight disease of rice plants,Ssdecamycin-effective agaist swine dysenteriae)were developed for industrial production and become useful for many people.And also we were interrested in those chemical structres and activities,fermentation processes by mutants or producing organsums namely rufomycins,maridomycins and ansamitocins.And from another point a new assay method for the activities of disinfectants was epoch making invesitgation.

私は研究生活の大部分を企業にて過ごしたので省みての成果もほとんどが企業での研究であった。そこで幸いにも私が商品化に拘わったものがEnramysin-飼料添加物、Validamycin-イネ紋枯病殺菌剤、Sedecamycin－豚赤痢治療剤の3種は現在でも広く用いられ人々の役にたっている。また、不幸にも商品化出来なかったが、研究としては何らかの成果を残し得たものとしてRufomycin,Maridomycin,Anasamitocin及び殺菌剤の測定法及びその関連の研究を残すことが出来たのでそれらの成果をまとめた。
