| Title Alternative | Radiosensitivity on the Components of Essential Oil in the Genus Mentha

| Abstract | M. arvensis L. var. piperascens(2n=96)を材料として,X線(20KR)を種子照射し照射当代植物について,主として精油成分に関する放射線の影響を調べた. 1)各生育時期の乾物重および精油含量に対する影響はほとんど認められない. 2)X線照射によりfree mentholは増加し,同時にester mentholおよびmenthoneは減少することが認められた.このことからmentholがmenthoneの還元により生成されるのではないかと推定した. 3)free menthol含有率は上位葉に向って直線的に増加するがmenthoneは逐次減少し,5位葉付近で消失することが認められる. 4)無機成分含量は,1番刈期と2番刈期との間で差はなく,全窒素で7位葉付近まで増量する他は葉位による大きな差異は認められない。
