On the nutritive Value of Yeast as adding Substance to the Diets of Infants (Part I.) On the Content of Vitamins A, B-complex, C, and D in Yeast

Feeding experiments have been carried out on animals to determine the content of vitamins in yeasts on the market (Enzeima, Ebios, Peerless Yeast, Autozyme). The results obtained are: - Enzeima and Ebios contain vitamin B-complex in large amounts, whereas nearly none of vitamin A; Enzeima and Peerless Yeast contain no vitamin C; Enzeima contains vitamin D, whereas Ebios and Autozyme contain none of it, by irradiation, however Enzeima, Ebios and Autozyme develop a remarkable antirachitic potency.
