| Abstract | 本稿ではプラトン,キケロ,ホメロスを取り上げ,彼らの身体ならびに運動競技への言説がスポーツ哲学に与えている影響について述べる｡これら古典におけるスポーツへの言及は,H.レンクによって取り上げられているものを対象にする｡本稿で考察されたプラトンにおける生とは何かという問い,キケロにおける｢老い｣とオリンピックへの疑問,ホメロスの競争思想は,いずれも現代のスポーツ哲学の源流であるといえるだろう｡
